The competition will start on 1 March at 16:00 and end on 29 April at the stroke of midnight.
What can you win?
The top 3 winners will receive a prize in the following order:
First prize - 1 pair of augmented reality glasses Second prize - 1 Smartwatch
Third prize - A customised jersey of a football team of your choice
How does it work?
Every action performed on Otium, Crowdville's social network, will earn points which will then be used to compose a ranking. The aim is to encourage participation and interaction between Crowders on Otium:
so the more you participate, the more you can win!
How do I score points?
Earning points is easy! Just participate in the social life of Otium! For example, you will get points for posts, comments, likes, etc.
Be careful though, in order to win, you have to be consistent. You cannot get more than a certain number of points for certain actions in one day!
Example: If a crowder creates 5 posts in one day, you will only get points for 1 post on that day. To get points for a post again, you will have to come back to Otium the next day.
Posts and comments, are subject to rules, and must categorically follow the rules attached to the FAQs in Otium.
Each action performed on Otium will entitle you to points which will then be used to decide the winners.
What about Extra Points?
In addition to points for daily actions performed, there are bonus points awarded for special actions! Yes, that's right! Extra points for participating at a higher level!
Write an Article for CrowdStories:
If you want and feel particularly inspired, you have the possibility to write articles, reviews, comments and anything else you want for our internal column called "Crowd Stories" which will be visible for all our Crowders on Otium. The articles must be at least 300 words long and be on specific topics. To know what to do or not to do, please consult the specific rules for writing articles: READ THE FAQS INSIDE OTIUM.
To post an article go to the 'Crowd News' tab and on the bottom left you will see 'Crowd Stories'. Choose your country and post your article!
In addition, every week there will be an evaluation of the articles. The best articles will be published on the Crowdville blog and therefore also readable outside our community. In this case, the author of the article will be awarded an additional 5 points.
Create a video:
Does the camera love you? Are you a tireless speaker? Can you record and edit videos? Then it looks like you might even be able to get some extra points for your participation. Yes, that's right, there is a chance to earn points by making videos for Crowdville!
Creating a video means creating original content agreed directly with Crowdville Community Managers. But how? Just log in to the Otium Crowd Videos group every Monday, choose a topic from the list published by the Otium Community Managers, and agree to create it directly on the group. Once completed, you will have to send the video to the Community Mnagers following their instructions. They will then assess the quality of the video and publish it on a YouTube or Vimeo channel created especially for Crowdville.
Before proceeding to create a video, READ THE FAQS INSIDE OTIUM.
Always inform the Community Manager in Crowd Video group of your intent to make a video. Once you are given the greenlight, go ahead and create your video and when complete, again inform the Community Managers in the Crowd Video group, where you will be then instructed on how to share the video.
If you have any doubts, you can always contact the Community Managers to ask for advice on topics or if you think other topics might be of interest to our community.
What are mini challenges?
Mini challenges are small timed challenges that are triggered by a notification launched via the app. Obviously we are talking about our own app: the Crowdville app. They are like small treasure hunts with variable prizes: Crowders will receive a notification on the app with the action to be performed and the time available to do it.
Example: there could be a mini challenge asking people to share or like a specific Crowdville Facebook post. Or there could be a request to fill in a surey for which random crowders will be rewarded.
The prizes will vary according to the challenge and to participate you need to download the Crowdville app and activate the notifications. For the mini challenges the prizes will not only be in points, but there might be more tempting surprises too...
Ranking and Badges
The ranking will be in order of points earned by each Crowder. A badge will be earned at each step to show participation. The earning of a badge, in itself will not count towards your points, it will serve to show the level of participation the Crowder has in the community. This will become an advantage in the future, as it will show other Crowders, as well as the Crowdville staff, your level of participation and therefore reliability over time. Badges will be awarded on reaching certain point thresholds, as listed below
